We are delighted to have you stay at Blue Lagoon Resort! First and foremost, we want you to enjoy your time here. Unplug, relax, and let the island vibe take you away.
To help maintain the property at the highest standards, we kindly ask you to observe the following rules and guidelines.
Cleanliness and Maintenance Complaints: Report any issues immediately upon arrival. Calls and messages after 8:00 PM will be returned promptly the next morning. Report all problems as soon as they occur.
Air Conditioning: Do not set air conditioners below 68 degrees. For best airflow, leave ceiling fans on and bedroom doors open. Keep all windows and doors closed and locked to prevent damage from salty air and humidity.
Refrigerator/Freezer: Set controls to MEDIUM. Placing large quantities of warm drinks in a cooler with ice helps the refrigerator cool groceries efficiently. Note that it takes 12-24 hours for an empty refrigerator to cool a large amount of warm groceries.
Repair Access: If a repair person is called at the guest’s request, full access must be given until the repair is completed. Failure to provide access, resulting in a second service call, will incur a $195 service fee, deducted from the deposit.
Major Repairs: In the event of an unforeseen major repair, every effort will be made to avoid interfering with your vacation. If repairs must be scheduled during your stay, full access must be granted. Compensation may be provided depending on the repair’s scope. Failure to provide access will result in the forfeiture of the entire deposit.
No Smoking: Blue Lagoon Resort is a non-smoking property. Violation of the smoking policy will result in eviction and forfeiture of all payments. A minimum fee of $250 will be charged for cleaning if there is evidence of smoking inside the property. Additionally, a fee will be assessed if cigarette butts are found littering the property.
Property Condition: Please keep the property and furnishings in good order. Try to leave it as you found it, or better.
POOL RULES
-Please notify us immediately if there is any issues with the pool.
-Pool hours are 7:00 AM – 10:00 PM.
-Hot tub hours are 7:00am – 12:00pm.
-Be respectful to neighbors and follow Galveston City’s ordinance on noise after 10:00 PM.
-All guests swim at their own risk, and all children must be supervised at all times.
-Lounge chairs and pool towels are available for our guests.
-Pool tablet must be brought inside each night.
-Umbrellas: Must be tied down at night or if it starts to rain or storm.
-Glass at the Pool: Absolutely no glass is allowed in the pool area. There is plenty of plasticware in the house for use at the pool.
-Hot Tub: There is a certain health risk associated with using a hot tub. Use at your own risk. Do not put soap or bath products of any kind in the hot tub. If you spend the day at the beach, please shower before entering the hot tub. When finished, please turn off the hot tub.
-Sonos Move/Roam Speaker: Please bring in the speaker at the end of each day.
-Beach and Pool Gear: Pool and beach toys, umbrellas, a wagon, and chairs are stored in the garage. Rinse them off after returning from the beach. Do not leave any items in the pool overnight to prevent damage to the pool system. Do not leave items overnight on the beach, as they will be confiscated.
POOL + SPA HEATING INSTRUCTIONS
The pool and spa settings are controlled through the Pentair ScreenLogic app on the tablet located on the stand in the dining room. Please note that the system can only heat either the pool or the hot tub at a time—it cannot heat both simultaneously. The pool and spa lights, heating and water feature instructions are in your message thread.
-Outdoor Fans and Lights in the covered patio area: Turn off outdoor fans and lights at the end of the day.
-Cell Phone Charging: Charge cell phones using the various ports around the house.
-Appliance Failures: No refunds will be provided for short-term appliance or mechanical failures.

The Sonos app can be found on the blue tablet that is on the stand in the dining room.
Connect to the existing system using the app.
Adjust music stations and volume for indoor or outdoor areas.
The “Move” speaker is portable for use on the deck.
Please bring the speaker indoors every night.
A replacement fee of $300 will apply for any damage or misuse of the speaker.
Get acquainted with the app for an enhanced sound experience during your stay.
Check-Out Instructions
Check-out time is 11:00 AM. To ensure ample time for preparation for incoming guests, please adhere to the following instructions:
-Lock the main door upon departure.
-Clean and put away all dishes, pots, and pans, including those in the dishwasher.
-Clean the oven or grill if used. An additional $35 cleaning fee will be charged if excessively dirty.
-Leave dirty bath towels in the bathtubs/showers. Do not wash them.
-Wash and dry any used beach towels prior to check-out.
-No need to strip the beds. Leave any extra pillows or bedding on the floor to indicate they need washing.
-Tie down umbrellas. Turn off outdoor fans.
-Bag all trash and place it in the large green containers on the side of the home. Trash pick-up is on Monday, so roll out the cans Sunday evening.
-Check the house, including under beds, in drawers, and around electrical outlets, for any personal belongings.
-Turn off all lights, TVs, and electronics. Log out of any accounts on the TVs (e.g., Netflix).
-Set the thermostat to 72 degrees in summer and 68 degrees in winter.
-Return any moved furniture or belongings to their original places.
-Kindly message us when you have left the property so we can inform Housekeeping.
-Please sign our guest book and share your favorite memories made at Blue Lagoon Resort.
